Some Totem poles

Ketchikan Alaska has one of the largest collections of totem poles in the USA. Totems tell stories. Here are a few pictures of some. I will post more later. Totem Bight is an Alaska state park here. Potlatch Park is another area that has Totems here, as well as the town of Asia man. Then there are various other places that have some on display. During the summer months there are a few locations where you can go and watch a master carver work on a pole.

SE Alaska

Have you been to the SE part of Alaska? Ketchikan. Is called the First City, because if your traveling North upon entering Alaska, well Ketchikan is the first city you come to. It is part of a rain forest (a rain Forest in Alaska ? – Yes!), so it rains here a lot usually about 15 FEET of rain a year, so everything is either soggy or green. If you take an Alaskan cruise on the inside passage, more then likely you will stop here. The following video just shows some of the scenery.
