So I mentioned in my last post about the E-book that my wife, Cindy, had just published on Amazon. The book is called “Reflections”. My next few posts will be a few of it’s chapters, hope you take the time to consider the messages behind the words that are shared. Thank you. Please click on the word that is listed above the cover, to read this chapter.
My wife and I have been married almost 36 years. My wife just finished (and published on Amazon) her first E-Book. It’s called “Reflections” and it’s a book about thinking about life, what God offers to us and what we offer back to Him. It is wrote from a Christian woman’s viewpoint.
So about 4 years ago I created a picture of the Ketchikan (Alaska) area of what I thought the rapture (The return of Jesus to take His people and His church), would possibly look like. I recently reconstructed the picture and changed several aspects of it. This picture has about 40 layers compiled using Photoshop.I am satisfied with this final work. I know many people won’t like it, that’s ok also. The Bible shares the truth and it says that “one day every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord”. I choise to do this now by my free will instead of being forced to in the last days.
During some of our travels, I have photographed some various churches. Church buildings are a lot like people, there are big ones and small ones, plain ones and overly decorated ones. Some are empty on the inside, others are full of life. Some are hard to find, others a person can’t miss.
Churches are made by man but can have a presence of God. People are created by God and can display HIs presence. If you are empty on the inside as some of these churches were, stop by a church and talk with someone. Life is too short to have a void on the inside but look good on the outside.
So a year ago my wife and I went to Juneau AK, so that i could take my drone license test and become a certified drone pilot, which I did. While there we went for a drive north of Juneau, and came across “The Shrine of St. Therese”. We are not Catholic but decided to check out the place, especially after we read some reviews of the place on-line. The atmosphere was very peaceful, though there were a lot of birds squawking ,trying to divert of attention away from the peace that God had in store for us.
There was a path that we had to follow to get to the shrine. It was raining lightly, however the tree coverage kept us mostly dry. My wife had hurt her leg and it was hard for her to walk very far. We were impressed and thankful that they had a few free wheelchairs that people could use while they visited. This really helped a lot.
There were several monuments that you could spend time at.
Here also was an interesting rock garden.
This was a very peaceful area, and I believe that you can rent out the area for events, lie maybe weddings. If you get to Juneau Alaska, then stop by here and get relaxed.
